# Set of 2 Navy Wicker Adirondack Chairs with Cushions for Patio
So I finally pulled the trigger on these navy Adirondack chairs for our back patio, and honestly, I’m kicking myself for not doing it sooner! We’ve had this empty corner by our fire pit for ages, and these chairs have totally transformed the space.
First off, they’re super comfortable. Like, way more comfortable than I expected from outdoor furniture. The backrest is tall and has this nice curve that actually supports your neck properly—I fell asleep reading out there yesterday afternoon, which pretty much never happens with our old patio chairs. The seats are pretty wide too (about 26.4 inches), so there’s plenty of room to get comfy. What really sold me though was how they’re designed with that classic Adirondack slope where your knees sit higher than your hips—it’s kind of hard to explain, but trust me, it makes a huge difference when you’re sitting for a while.
Assembly wasn’t bad at all. Each chair only has 4 main pieces and 8 screws, which is a relief because my husband and I aren’t exactly DIY experts. The instructions were clear enough, and we knocked both chairs out in about 30 minutes. No specialized tools needed—just the basic stuff that came in the box.
One thing I was worried about was maintenance since our last set of outdoor furniture was such a pain to keep clean. These are actually pretty low-maintenance! The cushions have zippers so you can take the covers off if someone spills their wine (which, let’s be real, happens at every gathering we host). The navy color has held up well in the sun so far—we’ve had them about a month and no fading yet. When they get dusty, I just wipe them down with a damp cloth. Easy peasy.
These chairs feel really solid too. The frame is made of this double-sided galvanized steel, and they’ve got these aluminum rings on the feet which I guess helps with stability. The wicker part is hand-woven PE rattan—definitely better quality than the cheap set we had from that big box store. They’ve got these little anti-slip caps on the bottom too, which is great because our deck can get slippery when it rains. Each chair can supposedly hold up to 350 pounds, which seems pretty impressive. My brother-in-law is a pretty big guy and he sat in one without any creaking or wobbling.
Size-wise, they’re about 33 inches long, 26.4 inches wide, and 35.4 inches tall. The seat sits about 15 inches off the ground, which is perfect—not too low that it’s hard to get up (like my parents’ old Adirondacks that were practically on the ground), but low enough to feel relaxed. They’re not exactly lightweight at 37.5 pounds each, but that’s actually a good thing since we get some pretty strong winds here in the spring.
To be fair, they were pricier than I initially wanted to spend, but considering how much use we’ve gotten out of them already, I’d say they’re worth every penny. We’ve used them for morning coffee, afternoon reading sessions, and they’ve become the favorite spots when friends come over for cookouts. They look way more expensive than they are, and I’m pretty sure they’ll last for years.
If you’re looking to upgrade your outdoor space without going full renovation mode, these chairs are a solid bet. They’ve made our patio feel like one of those fancy resort areas—just add a cocktail and you’re basically on vacation!
