3-Inch Recliner Riser Platform for Easier Standing

I finally bit the bullet and got this 3-inch recliner riser platform after my mom kept struggling to get out of her favorite chair. Honestly, it’s been a total game-changer for us.
So this thing is pretty straightforward – it’s basically a 3-inch platform that sits under your recliner to give it some extra height. Our old armchair has seen better days, but mom wasn’t ready to part with it, and this seemed like a more affordable solution than buying one of those expensive lift chairs.

Installation couldn’t have been easier – you literally just put it under the chair. No tools, no assembly, nothing complicated. The top has this non-slip surface that keeps the chair from sliding around, which was a major concern of mine.
The difference that 3 extra inches makes is kind of amazing, to be fair. Mom doesn’t have to struggle nearly as much to stand up now. It’s still her chair, just… better? The platform is pretty inconspicuous too – the black color blends in well with our carpet, and you honestly don’t really notice it unless you’re looking for it.
If you’ve got an older parent or someone with mobility issues (or heck, even if you’re just finding it harder to get up yourself these days), this is definitely worth considering. It’s way cheaper than those medical-looking lift chairs and works with furniture you already own and love. Just measure your chair base first to make sure it’ll fit!
