So we finally bit the bullet and got the CoComelon Musical Potty Trainer for our little one, and honestly? It’s been kind of a game-changer at our house. My daughter is absolutely obsessed with CoComelon (I mean, what toddler isn’t these days?), so when I spotted this, I figured it might actually make potty training less of a nightmare.
The music feature is pretty cool – you just press that CoComelon logo thing and it plays four different verses of their potty song. My daughter goes nuts singing “I went to the potty. Hurray for me!” It’s actually super cute, and to be fair, it’s been really motivating for her. The batteries were included which was a nice surprise, and there’s a volume control so you can turn it down when you’re about to lose your mind after hearing it for the 50th time that day.
I’m really glad they added those built-in handles – my little one feels way more secure holding onto something. And that splash guard? Total lifesaver. We had a different potty before this that didn’t have one and, well, let’s just say our bathroom floor has seen better days. This one keeps everything… contained, if you know what I mean.
What I didn’t expect but totally love is how it converts to a toilet topper. We’re not quite there yet, but it’s nice knowing we won’t have to buy something else when she’s ready for the big toilet. It holds up to 50 pounds, which should definitely get us through potty training and then some.
The tracking chart is actually way more useful than I thought it would be. My daughter gets so excited about putting those stickers on (they’re reusable too, which is pretty handy). It’s turned the whole process into this fun achievement thing rather than this dreaded chore I was worried about.
There’s this little storage compartment in the back that’s around 6×4×2 inches – nothing huge but fits a few wipes and maybe a small book. I keep a couple of her favorite potty books in there and sometimes a little surprise reward. Makes everything so much more convenient than running around the house looking for stuff mid-potty session!
Cleaning it isn’t bad at all. Everything comes apart pretty easily, and you just wipe it down with some mild soap. The bowl is about 1.5 liters and pops right out. I was worried about stains and smells (because, you know… potty training), but it’s been holding up fine so far.
It’s not exactly small – about 15.5×12.5×14 inches and weighs like 2.8 pounds – but it’s not taking over our bathroom either. The CoComelon characters are bright and cheerful, which my daughter absolutely loves. We move it between the bathroom and her bedroom depending on where we’re hanging out, and it’s light enough that it’s not a hassle.
Not gonna lie, potty training is still challenging, but this has definitely made it less painful for everyone involved. If your kid is into CoComelon, this might be worth trying!
